Chihuly Garden and Glass wasn’t actually on our list of sights to visit, but we ended up there on a Monday afternoon. We’d originally planned to go up the Space Needle, but the line-up and wait to get up would be nearly 2 hours long. Yikes! No thanks. And that’s how we ended up next door at the glass exhibit, which was not such a bad thing after all.
The exhibit consisted of three main areas: the Exhibition Hall, with nine different rooms, each with a different theme; the Glasshouse, housing a beautiful ceiling-mounted piece; and the Gardens, an outdoor area with various pieces to visit.
We started at the Exhibition Hall, made our way to the Glasshouse, and finally to the Gardens. It’s worth a visit to see the beautiful glasswork of Dale Chihuly. Also a great alternative to waiting in line to go up the Space Needle.
